Mexicanos Contra la Corrupción y la Impunidad works to strengthen the rule of law and reduce impunity and corruption through investigative reporting, strategic litigation, and applied research. The award promotes accountability of the National Prosecutor’s Office by supporting litigation of cases that are investigated by the Anti-Corruption Office and monitoring the Office's performance.
Mexicanos Contra la Corrupción y la Impunidad works to strengthen the rule of law and reduce impunity and corruption through investigative reporting, strategic litigation, and applied research. The award promotes government accountability in Mexico’s response to the September 2017 earthquakes through data analysis, strategic litigation, and investigative journalism. It supports an online database on earthquake damages in Mexico City, and publication of articles highlighting cases where corruption, impunity, or negligence played a part in deaths and irreparable damages.
