Management Sciences for Health

Management Sciences for Health is a global organization working to save the lives and improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people, and to end preventable maternal and newborn mortality in 25 countries. In 2016, MSH incorporated Family Care International, a leading advocacy organization for safe motherhood and the health and rights of women and communities. The FCI Program of MSH is working to strengthen the advocacy skills of midwives and midwifery supporters in Mexico by developing a series of tools – documents, infographics, powerpoints, and audiovisual materials – to promote the midwifery model of care in a range of contexts and with a range of target audiences. The project targets six states (Chiapas, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Morelos, Oaxaca, and Tlaxcala) and directly reaches over 500 individuals interested in promoting midwifery.
