Established in 1987, the Lawndale Christian Development Corporation (LCDC) aims to revitalize the North Lawndale community in Chicago with economic growth, expanded access to local jobs, community organizing, and affordable housing in a thriving, equitable environment. The organization actively engages residents and community organizations to develop commercial corridors, facilitate the formation of worker-owned cooperative businesses, and create jobs that can be filled by neighborhood residents.
