Kivulini Trust

Kivulini Trust is a Kenyan NGO that works with pastoralists and other minority groups of northern Kenya to create sustainable livelihoods and inspire the protection and celebration of their rich cultural and natural heritage. The purpose of this grant is to increase the capacity of local communities to effectively engage with policymakers and private investors on oil governance so as to protect indigenous rights to natural resources and ensure sustainable development in the region. Kivulini Trust will establish a community forum which facilitates dialogue on oil governance between community members and other stakeholders. Project staff will conduct policy research and analysis which strengthens technical skills of community members.
