Justice for Migrant Women is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating policymakers and the public about the challenges facing migrant women in the United States, and exploring opportunities for positive narrative change. Its program, The Latinx House, organizes year-round events aimed at building the power of the Latinx community to shape more accurate and just narratives and media to contribute to a more equitable society. This grant supports the activities of The Latinx House at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, including a panel exploring the opportunities for narrative change through the work of independent Latinx filmmakers. The intended outcomes are articulations of the role Latinx filmmakers play in deepening public understanding and meaningfully reflecting Latinx communities back to themselves.
