Jhatkaa.Org

Jhatkaa.org is a non-profit organization that uses effective communication to bring stakeholders and helps build awareness and education amongst them. By mobilizing citizens, the organization helps to create action toward equitable, inclusive and sustainable outcomes for people and the planet. With this award, Jhatkaa.org is developing communication strategies that engage communities on climate change by identifying the intersection between people's needs, daily challenges, and the impact of climate change. Currently most conversations around climate use the jargon of academia and the elite, and this does not resonate well with most of the population, yet at the same time people are already experiencing climate impacts. The goal is to discover a shared vision of an aspirational and sustainable future that unlocks climate resilience and shared prosperity for citizens of India.
