International University in Moscow

A three-year grant of $300,000 has been awarded to the International University in Moscow in support of a project to be implemented out of the University’s newly founded Andrei Sakharov Human Rights Center, an initiative bringing academics and activists together to advance human rights protection in Russia. The project will provide training courses in the jurisprudence of the European Court, a series of public lectures, and a legal clinic. Foundation dollars will be used for salaries, to run the training courses, and fund a legal clinic for members of the public.
