International Press Centre (IPC) is a Nigerian nonprofit for media development, press freedom, and the promotion of democracy and development in Nigeria. This award strengthens the tracking and documentation of abuses of the press and protection for Nigerian journalists. It is expected to contribute to press freedom and free speech, and to strengthen the watchdog role of the press and accountability in Nigeria.
