The International Planned Parenthood Federation!Western Hemisphere Region (IPPF/WHR) is one of six regional offices of this global organization dedicated to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights. With the award, IPPF/WHR staff is working to ensure that progressive language is included in international and regional agreements and that those agreements are implemented by country governments. Staff participates in regional and international meetings. IPPF IWHR staff also offers training and support to civil society organizations in Latin America to strengthen their ability to participate effectively in negotiations and to monitor implementation of agreements. General support enables the organization to be flexible and proactive and is helping to strengthen the capacity of member associations to advocate for and provide a wide range of services.
