International Confederation of Midwives

The International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) represents midwives and midwifery to organizations worldwide to achieve common goals in the care of mothers and newborns. ICM holds global and regional conferences that convene thousands of midwives and stakeholders from across the world.  This award provides financial support for 10 Mexican delegates to participate in the 2018 Latin American congress in Asunción, Paraguay; pre and post meetings in Mexico; and travel for ICM leaders to travel to Mexico to work with local stakeholders and health authorities.

The International Confederation of Midwives represents midwives and midwifery to organizations worldwide to achieve common goals in the care of mothers and newborns. Every three years, the ICM holds a global conference of thousands of midwives and stakeholders from across the world. This award provides financial support for about 40 Mexican delegates to participate in the 2017 Triennial Congress in Toronto, Canada, translation at the event, and pre and post meetings in Mexico.
