The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), a Washington, DC-based non-profit organization, promotes innovation in journalism around the world by launching news organizations, media associations, journalism schools, and news products. The organization trains and empowers journalists from across the globe and works closely with local partners. With this award, ICFJ is sponsoring Nigerian editors and journalists to participate in a study tour of US newsrooms. Participants are expected to expand their professional networks, be exposed to and share newsroom best practices in newsrooms, and reflect on the latest industry trends, all with the goal of improving the quality of news content.
