Founded in 1995, Integrity is a Nigerian non-governmental organization focused on accountability and transparency in public and business life. Through research and advocacy, Integrity aims to contribute to public discourse and policy formulation that advances accountability and transparency in Nigeria. With this final renewal award, Integrity is strengthening corruption prevention in Nigeria’s private sector by working with micro, small, and medium enterprises and professional business associations in several key sectors to enhance their compliance systems and practices. It is designing tailored behavior change communication messages for each audience. It also works with the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and other authorities to design and implement incentives toward collective action and deterrents in the private sector. This final award is expected to result in more businesses and professional associations with independently verifiable systems that prevent corruption and incentivize ethical behavior. This contributes to On Nigeria’s efforts to reduce corruption and strengthen accountability, transparency, and participation.

Through research and advocacy, Integrity aims to contribute to public discourse and policy formulation that advances accountability and transparency in Nigeria. With this award, Integrity is working with private-sector professional associations to identify corruption risks, create compliance systems, collect corruption reports, and highlight anti-corruption success stories. The award is expected to result in more accurate and accessible information about common corruption schemes and weaknesses in the system that allow corruption to flourish; new compliance codes and practices being adopted; and groups of professionals using those codes to reduce corruption in their sectors. This contributes to On Nigeria’s efforts to contribute to an atmosphere of transparency, accountability, and good governance in Nigeria.
