Impact Engine

Impact Engine, a Public Benefit Corporation that manages venture capital and private equity strategies to drive positive impact in the areas of economic opportunity, environmental sustainability, and health equity, seeks to mobilize more capital where financial returns are linked to positive social and environmental impacts while also playing an active role in building the regional impact investing ecosystem. The organization is building on its successful field-building work in Chicago, including the management of the Chicago Impact Investing Showcase over the last several years, by engaging with a specialized consultant to research, publish, and disseminate widely a Midwest landscape report in the first half of 2024; and by managing a Midwest Impact Investing Showcase to be held in person in Chicago in October 2024. This project further activates and develops the Midwest impact investing ecosystem, ultimately benefiting the historically marginalized communities in the region that are supported by impact investing strategies.
