ICT is a nonprofit newsroom that produces original reporting about and for Indigenous communities through its digital platform and as a broadcast carried via public television stations. In addition to operating bureaus at the Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University, Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage Alaska, and the Cronkite School’s Washington, DC bureau, ICT has launched a Montana bureau and is in conversations with new partners - Wisconsin Watch and Marquette University. This general operating support enables ICT to continue its bureau expansion strategy, with a focus on partnering with existing organizations, and the outcome is more capacity for in-depth reporting on Indigenous issues and current events to reach Indigenous and non-Indigenous audiences, many in rural areas.

ICT is a nonprofit newsroom that produces original reporting about and for Indigenous communities. It reaches audiences through its digital platform and via broadcasts carried by public television stations on WORLD Channel. ICT currently operates three bureaus: one at the Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University, a second at Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage Alaska, and a third within the Cronkite School’s Washington, DC bureau. It is now exploring how to expand its geographic reach through partnerships with organizations across the continent. This general operating support enables ICT to continue its expansion and the outcome is more capacity for in-depth reporting on Indigenous issues and current events to reach Indigenous and non-Indigenous audiences, many in rural areas.
