The Technology Science Research Collaboration Network is a project of Harvard University’s Data Privacy Lab. The Network is composed of university-based academics who, with their students, undertake experiments to study the way new and emerging technologies impact public interest issues, while also building Technology Science as a new area of academic practice and inquiry. The award supports the Network as it partners with civil society organizations and government institutions to conduct scientific experiments that aim to understand how different technologies impact a range of civil liberties, civil rights, and consumer protection issues. The result will be the publication of around 100 papers in the online, open access publication Technology Science that provide new insights for the policymakers, the media and the broader public about the ways technology impacts public interest issues.
