This grant provides general operating support to Grantmakers for Education (GFE), a national organization that provides its members with opportunities to share experiences and information, network, and discuss trends, research and emerging issues in education. As an organization with almost 300 members, GFE provides the opportunity for education funders to interact with colleagues, helps independent, operating, community, corporate and family foundations identify gaps in grantmaking strategies, discuss principles for effective education grantmaking, and collaborate with other philanthropies to pursue common goals.
