Global Girls is an organization for young African-American women that uses the performing arts to teach critical skills of communication, self-expression, and social responsibility. It serves more than 2,000 young women annually. This funding supports Global Girls' exchange with the Grenada National Organization of Women, a non-profit that seeks gender equality in Grenada by addressing cultural, political, and economic issues. Through this exchange, young women from both organizations will collaborate on a performance arts piece addressing womanhood, to be performed in both countries. This funding is part of the International Connections Fund.
