Founders First Community Development Corporation

Founders First Community Development Corporation is a San Diego-based nonprofit business accelerator program focused on entrepreneurs who are BIPOC, women, veterans, LGBTQ+, or located in low- and moderate-income areas. The organization’s business acceleration services guide underrepresented business owners in leading, funding, and growing businesses and, ultimately, in creating jobs. This award supports Founders First Community Development Corporation’s phased programming, which includes online workshops, small groups, and 1:1 coaching to put diverse-led, Chicago-based businesses on the path of funding and growth. Ultimately, this helps to address the racial and social economic equity gaps for entrepreneurs of color, while also benefiting historically marginalized communities in the Chicago region.
