Fonden for Museum for the United Nations - UN Live

Fonden for Museum for the United Nations (UN Live) is an independent global organization with a mission to unleash the power of culture to inspire local action and drive global change. It is not a UN organization but is endorsed by and based on the values of the United Nations. This award supports UN Live’s pop culture TV series called Defenders of Planet Earth (DOPE) that aims to drive millions of people into a solution-focused conversation on climate change and biodiversity. The show will highlight stories of ordinary people acting on climate change and encourage viewers to engage with the information presented and act through a framework of "protect, preserve, and practice". The program role-models’ sustainable behavior encourages citizens to step up as DOPE, and the program creates opportunities for people to take concrete action. This is strongly aligned with the Government of India’s recent initiative on citizen-led sustainability called Lifestyle for Environment-LiFE.
