European Climate Foundation

Founded in 2008, the European Climate Foundation is a major philanthropic initiative to promote climate and energy policies that greatly reduce Europe’s greenhouse gas emissions and help Europe play an even stronger international leadership role in the fight against climate change. As such, the European Climate Foundation supports organizations around the world to define and implement climate policies. The award supports a project to share the latest research and data about India’s transition to clean energy, with the goal of raising the public’s and policymakers’ awareness about the opportunity to diversify state economies to the benefit of workers, communities, and local government.
