This is a follow up to Camerini and Robertson’s How Democracy Works Now, a 12-part documentary series that followed previous attempts to pass immigration reform from 2001 - 2007. The Big Battle, which is slated for FRONTLINE broadcast in 2014, will follow elected officials, Congressional staffers, advocates and experts on all sides of the debate. A MacArthur grant will be used for production expenses, including producer/director salaries, photography costs, and editing.
