The Environmental Grantmakers Association (EGA), founded in 1987 and based in New York, NY, is a membership association of foundation and giving programs supporting efforts to achieve a sustainable world. This grant provides support to the Environmental Fellows Program, a program of EGA and the Yale School for Environment that aims to diversify the environmental philanthropic and nonprofit sectors by supporting the career aspirations of graduate students from traditionally underrepresented populations.
The Environmental Grantmakers Association (EGA) works with members and partners to promote effective environmental philanthropy by sharing knowledge and cultivating leadership. EGA has a large membership representing over 200 foundations from around the world, focused on a broad range of issues, including environmental justice, agriculture, and human health and environment. This award supports EGA’s core activities for three years, including organizing an annual fall retreat, a biennial policy briefing, and numerous in-person and web-based events.
The Environmental Grantmakers Association (EGA) members represent over 200 foundations from North America and around the world focused on a broad range of environmental issues, such as green-building, agriculture, and health and the environment. This general operating grant will support EGA’s efforts to improve environmental philanthropy.
The Environmental Grantmakers Association (EGA) is a donor affiliate organization that seeks to improve the efficacy of the environmental philanthropic community. EGA’s 200 donor members support a range of environmental issues around the globe, from renewable energy, to conserving biodiversity, to combating pollution. This grant will support general operations from 2011-2014.
