Engine Room

Established in 2011, the Engine Room is an international non-profit organization that helps activists, organizations, and others in civil society make the most of data and technology to increase their impact in a strategic and responsible way.

The award supports a member of the organization to attend the fifth annual Impacts of Civic Technology Conference (TICTeC). The expected outcome is an improved understanding of how new media and technology can be used to advance governance and accountability.
