Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund

The Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund (DREDF) is a nonprofit organization with a mission To advance the civil and human rights of people with disabilities through legal advocacy, training, education, and public policy and legislative development. The Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund is in the planning stages of a new cultural intermediary to advance inclusion of disabled people in the media, both in front of and behind the camera. The intended outcome of this planning phase is a new cultural intermediary, led by and centered on people with disabilities, aimed at changing practices and norms across three media industries: journalism, entertainment, and advertising.
