Corporacion Semillas de Agua is a Colombian soil, water, and biodiversity conservation organization that works in the Magdalena River Basin on wetland valuation, assessment of protected areas, promotion of small scale organic farming, and quantifying high Andean carbon stocks. The goal of the project is to develop, in collaboration with four municipalities in the headwaters of the Coello and Cucuana Rivers, collaborative mechanisms, incentives and compensation schemes to promote more effective ecosystem management, provision of water and carbon storage services, and improved agro-ecosystems practices.
