Copia Institute

The Copia Institute is a new Silicon Valley-based think tank focused on research at the intersection of technology, innovation, and policy. The award supports Copia's inaugural summit, as well as three thematic areas of research, including freedom of expression, data ethics, and digital privacy. Copia staff is harnessing its wide network of start-ups, venture capital firms, technology companies, and public interest advocacy organizations to generate concrete ideas to help resolve policy challenges within the three research areas while helping to ensure that the direction of technological change results in public benefit.
