Consortium for School Networking

The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) is an association of school district technology leaders whose mission is to use technology to improve teaching and learning. CoSN supports a community of practice among 13 school districts, and provides them with resources and tools to help them make progress in using digital media to improve teaching and learning. It will use this grant to convene representatives from the 13 school districts and provide them with an opportunity to share lessons learned, and opportunities and challenges in using digital media to improve teaching and learning.

To provide technical assistance to school districts that are incorporating digital media and learning into the school environment (over two years).

To provide technical assistance to school district administrators interested in using social media to create participatory learning opportunities in school (over two years).

To assess the current policies and practices of school leaders to effect or regulate the use of digital media in schools.
