Comer Education Campus

Located in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side, the Gary Comer Youth Center is an 80,000 square foot education, recreation, and arts facility dedicated to improving young people’s lives. It serves more than 2,000 youth annually through programs in visual and performing arts. Urban agriculture and culinary arts programs provide youth with hands-on experience in healthy food preparation and green career exploration. This award provides general operating support to the Gary Comer Youth Center as part of the Foundation’s Culture, Equity, and the Arts program.
