The Coalition for a Better Chinese-American Community (CBCAC) unites the resources of individual and member organizations to empower Chinese-American communities in the Chicago metropolitan region. In Chicago's Chinatown, CBCAC carries out its mission through civic education, engagement, and community mobilization.

The Chinatown Databook project will examine the socio-economic indicators of the Chinatown community and provide qualitative analysis through community interviews with residents, business leaders, and institutional stakeholders. The project aims to equip Chinatown stakeholders with the data necessary to advocate for the community's needs.

This award supports the Collaborative Artist Expression Project to promote intercultural dialogue and racial healing between the youth of Chicago's Chinatown and Bronzeville communities. The project will result in Creative Placemaking installations in which community youth will collaborate to produce public artwork displayed in Chinatown.
