Charge is a documentary that explores the past, present, and potential future of Bolivia, and how a country can have an abundance of the world’s most sought-after natural resources and also be the poorest country in South America. Examining the potent forces that emerged from Bolivia’s past conflicts over silver, coca, and water, Charge provides an in-depth look at the opportunities and costs associated with Bolivia’s newest valuable resource: the world’s largest deposit of lithium, an integral component of the batteries for everything from cell phones to electric cars. This grant will support costs associated with production and post-production.
