Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras

The mission of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras (CYSO) is to inspire and cultivate personal excellence through music. CYSO features 12 ensemble programs for young musicians, ages six to 18. This professional development grant supports CYSO's work to integrate Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Belonging (IDEAB) into the organization’s mission, values, and practices.

In support of a musical and cultural exchange with China. A new piece written for Western and Eastern instruments will be premiered and performed jointly by youth symphonies in Chicago and China.
