The Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights works to secure racial equity and economic opportunity for all. It collaborates with grassroots organizations and other advocacy groups to implement community-based solutions that advance civil rights. With this award, the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee plans and convenes a series of workshops in historically marginalized communities to identify the legal needs of nonprofits and other entities engaged in community economic development.
