Chicago Housing Initiative

The Chicago Housing Initiative ensures that tenants across the Chicago region have the information and resources they need to participate in affordable rental housing preservation. One of the organizations that uses its information is The Preservation Compact - which seeks to raise awareness about affordable rental housing’s value and create a climate in which public, private, and non-profit sectors work together to stem the loss of affordable rental housing in Cook County. The Initiative will use this grant to continue to provide reliable, current information to the Compact and its partners about tenants’ issues related to specific preservation transactions and housing policy.
