Chicago Children's Advocacy Center

Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center (ChicagoCAC) and its partners are the front-line responders in Chicago to reports of child sexual and physical abuse. It is the city’s only nonprofit organization that coordinates the efforts of child protection staff, law enforcement professionals, family advocates, medical experts, and mental health clinicians under one roof. This grant provides general operating support to ChicagoCAC for its efforts to respond to incidents of abuse and provide relevant supports to youth and their families, train and offer strategic supports to youth-serving organizations interested in integrating violence prevention programming and relevant mental health supports into their work, and to pilot new programming designed to reach adult women whose safety and well-being is critical to stopping intergenerational violence and abuse.
