Centro de Colaboración Cívica facilitates increased dialogue and collaboration among different actors to promote democratic participation in the public sphere. The award supports implementation of the 2018 National Law on Forced Disappearances. The project includes meetings and joint activities to strengthen coordination among state-based organizations and the grassroots group National Movement for Our Disappeared (Movimiento Nacional por Nuestros Desaparecidos México). The award will help advance Mexico’s National System for Searching for Missing Persons, including the creation of the state-level agencies charged with searching for the disappeared.

Centro de Colaboración Cívica promotes democratic values through increased dialogue and collaboration among different actors in the political sphere. The award supports the production of policy proposals to contribute to an effective National Prosecutor’s Office (NPO) capable of conducting sound investigations based on scientific evidence. The project focuses on helping forensic experts to produce recommendations for revamping Mexico’s forensic services. The recommendations are shared with a broad civil society coalition working on the NPO.
The Centro de Colaboracion Civica (Center for Civic Collaboration, CCC) is a non-partisan, non-profit civil society organization with seven years of experience in collaborative negotiation, mediation, and facilitation of dialogue and consensus building processes in Mexico. With this award, the CCC is designing and carrying out meetings to facilitate dialogue and consensus building among stakeholders from civil society and government engaged in building professional midwifery in Mexico. Expected outcomes include increased understanding among key stakeholders of their different strategies, and greater potential to reach consensus on some shared strategies.

This project supports civil society efforts to develop joint strategies for improving the quality of justice by strengthening investigative procedures, particularly in investigations into disappearances.
The Centro de Colaboracion Civica (Center for Civic Collaboration, CCC) is a non-partisan, non-profit civil society organization with seven years of experience in collaborative negotiation, mediation, facilitation of dialogue spaces, and consensus building processes in Mexico. CCC will design and carry out meetings to facilitate dialogue and consensus building among stakeholders engaged (or potentially engaged) in building professional midwifery in Mexico. As a neutral agency, the CCC will help them design a broad mid-range strategy that will capitalize on the different contributions of all involved.
