Centre for Budget and Policy Studies

CBPS will conduct research in the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh that aims to investigate the current situation with respect to Open and Distance Learning (ODL) systems and to suggest improvements in policy, budgetary and institutional frameworks that are required to enhance the capacity of the system to provide quality and relevant secondary education to large numbers of students. The research will provide insights into the situation of ODL with respect to female students, constraints experienced by girls in accessing secondary education through ODL and learning outcomes as measured by national assessment examinations. The study findings will be disseminated to policy makers and education experts to advocate for improvements in the current ODL model.
