Center for Responsible Lending

The proposed grant will be used to build a permanent endowment so that CRL can continue its work in addressing the need for safe, sustainable credit products. Earnings on this endowment will allow the organization to engage in a strategic planning process, so that it may address both the current opportunity for implementation of the reforms from the Dodd-Frank bill and its changing role as watchdog for the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

In support of research, policy analysis, and public education to curb predatory lending and to advance a comprehensive home foreclosure prevention and mitigation initiative in the City of Chicago (over two years).
