Headquartered in New York City and with offices in five other countries, the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) is the only global legal advocacy organization dedicated exclusively to the establishment, protection, and advancement of reproductive rights. With general support from MacArthur, CRR is implementing its new five-year strategic plan. The plan aims to guarantee in law, policy, and practice that all women have the right and access to quality reproductive and maternal healthcare that is free from abuse and discrimination and access to a full range of contraceptive information and services. The award facilitates access to justice for women and girls who face violations of their reproductive rights, and builds a broader and stronger field of reproductive rights advocates around the world to develop public interest cases and advocacy campaigns on sexual and reproductive health and rights issues.
