Carnegie Institution is an organization for scientific discovery that conducts basic research on the interactions among the earth’s, land, atmosphere, and ocean ecosystems. The goal of this grant is to map and monitor watersheds in the Tropical Andes using high-resolution remote measurement and modeling methods in support of conservation investments and outcome assessments.
In support of the development and testing of new technology that will allow forest canopy species composition to be sensed remotely (over two years).
In support of expanding local capability to map forest disturbances in Peruvian forests.
