Founded in 1914, the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs is an independent, research-driven nonprofit that helps identify current and future global problems and convene leading experts and thinkers to generate solutions. As a part of that work, the Carnegie Council launched the Carnegie Climate Governance Initiative, whose mission is to catalyze the creation of effective governance for emerging climate-altering technologies. The award supports the participation of youth leaders in international fora about these technologies.
