The Center organizes its work into four areas: litigation, regulatory agency monitoring, policy, and communications. The Campaign Legal Center also convenes individuals and organizations from across the political spectrum to work together to pursue ethics reform in government. The Center, through a recently formed initiative, supports democracy reforms at the state and local levels, and helps lead efforts to coordinate the litigation response of the voting rights community to laws restricting voting access.

Founded in 2002 with prominent bipartisan leadership, the Campaign Legal Center works at the national, state and local levels to promote and defend campaign disclosure and public financing programs. It conducts litigation, policy analysis, and regulatory advocacy on federal campaign finance regulation, voting rights, lobbying regulation, and government ethics reform, and it monitors the Federal Election Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, and the Internal Revenue Service. This grant will support a reserve fund and a new web site.
