Avanti Fellows

Established in 2010, Avanti Fellows works across India to improve the quality of education          and opportunities for marginalized students with a cost-effective, scalable learning model that reduces dependence on teacher-led instruction. Avanti is developing a model to deliver science and mathematics education through an after-school program for secondary students enrolled in Chennai municipal schools that enables students, especially girls, to complete grade 10 examinations and gain entry to high secondary classes and college-level science programs. The project uses a randomized control trial to assess outcomes and results compared with similar schools in Chennai
