Asylum Access is an Oakland, California-based non-profit organization concerned with the rights of refugees worldwide. It works with government officials and global decision-makers to enable refugees to assert their fundamental rights, achieve self-reliance through access to safe and lawful work opportunities, integrate in local communities, and thrive in their new homes. Its approach combines services for individuals and communities with policy advocacy and strategic litigation, and fosters improved conditions for effective humanitarian and development aid interventions. The Refugee Rights Toolkit documents and systematizes Asylum Access’s approaches to legal support for refugees, and will support the activities of refugee advocates worldwide.
