The grant will support Article 19 East Africa’s project to advance ethical and responsible media coverage of the Kenyan elections, while enhancing the ability of Kenyan regulatory bodies to objectively identify and effectively address unlawful inflammatory hate speech without unduly restricting freedom of expression.
