Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 7 million people in over 150 countries who campaign to end human rights abuses. The grant contributes to a humanitarian response to protect and support populations that are disproportionately and negatively impacted by national measures to contain COVID-19. The project bolster’s Amnesty’s ability to support local human rights and grassroots organizations in communities across Mexico through financial assistance, and capacity and network building. The work is part of a broader strategy to help social justice organizations respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico.
