The American Press Institute (API) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting news organizations to explore innovation, sustainability, engage audiences, and succeed at organizational change. In partnership with the engagement consultancy Hearken, API is launching Elections SOS, a project that aims to help news organizations center the needs of their communities in the ways in which they report on the 2022 midterm elections.
