American Littoral Society

The American Littoral Society is the host and fiscal agent of the Arctic Funders Group, an informal collaboration of grantmakers interested in the Arctic and Arctic issues. This grant will support the Arctic Funders Group to convene a meeting to promote broader understanding of governance, natural resource issues, and key organizations and individuals working in the Russian Arctic. The meeting will generate information to support implementers and funders looking to evaluate the opportunities, roles, and challenges associated with conservation and good governance in the region. The Arctic Funders Group will gather key messages from the meeting into a report that can be shared with a growing number of organizations soliciting information on the context of working in the Russian Arctic.
