Amazonicos por la Amazonia Association

Asociación Amazónicos por la Amazonía (AMPA) is a dynamic and creative organization in the Peruvian Amazon that is dedicated to fostering a flourishing Andean-Amazon culture, maintaining critical ecosystem services, and improving quality of life and land management in the Andes Amazon. This project expands a Regional Conservation Network and platform to build technical capacity, management skills, and financial sustainability in community-based conservation areas in San Martín, Amazonas, and Loreto. It also draws out lessons learned from the many sustainable production activities tested and implemented by AMPA and partners for long-term economic and conservation benefits. These efforts provide technical capacity and evidence about what works for communities, governments, and conservation organizations in the tropical Andes.
