Black Feminist Fund
Black Feminist Fund (BFF), a project of Amalgamated Charitable Foundation, supports organizations around the world that are addressing systems of oppression and building a world that is free from gender inequity and violence. BFF seeks to improve the outcomes of communities, families, and children by supporting hyperlocal and gender-affirming leadership.
The Partnership Funds
The Political Climate Action Project (PCAP) is a sponsored project of the Amalgamated Foundation, with operations held at The Partnership Funds. PCAP is a large-scale design project that supports the reimagination and expansion of climate adaptation and resilience principles from physical infrastructure to support resiliency for social and political infrastructure. It will support the progressive organizing ecosystem to increase its capacity and ability, at organizational and systemic levels, to anticipate and cope with climate-related shocks and related topographical, political, economic, and demographic shifts to thrive and be successful into the future.
Groundwork
Groundwork Project, a fiscally sponsored project of Amalgamated Foundation, supports and connects community organizers on democracy’s frontlines. Founded in 2021 by former Congressman Joe Kennedy III, Groundwork focuses on regions that have otherwise been ignored or overlooked, such as the Midwest, Deep South, Appalachia, and the Plains, and is singularly focused on supporting frontline organizers on the most crucial fronts in the battle for justice, equity, and democracy itself. It does this by working with partners on the ground to resource local organizers, support statewide infrastructure, shift civic narratives, and develop local leaders.
Amalgamated Foundation, founded in 2017 and based in Washington DC, is redefining philanthropy by empowering activism, harnessing generosity, and leveraging technology. The Democracy Frontlines Fund, a donor-advised fund sponsored by Amalgamated Foundation, is a response to the United States’ pervasive racial injustice. The Democracy Frontlines Fund represents a strategy of aligned giving that aims to mobilize millions of new dollars in funder contributions for nonprofits leading this struggle. It supports Black-led organizing, the fight for free and fair elections, and work to defund prisons and police.
Democracy Frontlines Fund
The Democracy Frontlines Fund, a donor-advised fund sponsored by Amalgamated Foundation, is a response to the United States’ pervasive racial injustice. This injustice has been further compounded by the health and economic crises caused by COVID-19, and is especially pertinent during a year with a highly contested national election. The Democracy Frontlines Fund represents a strategy of aligned giving that aims to mobilize millions of new dollars in funder contributions for nonprofits leading this struggle. It will support Black-led organizing, the fight for free and fair elections, and work to defund prisons and police.
