This grant will support a survey of prisons in Mexico’s 31 states and Mexico City. The goal of the survey is to gather evidence on whether reforms to the criminal justice system are improving access to justice and human rights of individuals whose cases are being tried. The survey will shed light on necessary policy changes to improve due process and human rights protections.
